Hello hello lovely people!
I thought it would be nice to show you some of my current favourite modcloth pieces... so in case you don´t know the shop, yet, my picks might give you a good "preview" to what to expect... and if you´re (like me) already a big fan of the clothes I hope you just enjoy my selection and get inspired!

Style as in The Carrie Diaries

I don´t know how you feel ´bout that topic but I loooove Sex & the City ...naturally I love to examine the looks from the soon to come TV adaptation of The Carrie Diaries. The leading role is played by sweetheart Anna Sophia Robb (maybe you´ve seen her as a young girl in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and today I recreated one of the outfits she´s wearing in the series. Hope you like the copied look!

Ich weiß nicht wie ihr zu dem Thema steht, aber ich liiiiiieeeebe Sex & the City ...und demnach liebe ich es natürlich auch die Looks aus der kommenden TV Adaption von The Carrie Diaries zu begutachten. Die Hauptrolle wird von Anna Sophia Robb gespielt (vielleicht erinnert der ein oder andere sich noch an sie als junges Mädchen in Charlie und die Schokoladenfabrik) und heute habe ich eines der Outfits nachkreiert, das sie in der Serie trägt. Recreate Louis Vuitton & Chanel styles

I guess it´s normal to worship designer styles and runway looks but surely not everybody (including me) can afford a wardrobe full of it each month. This is why I constantly try to find cheaper and fashionable alternatives.
I selected ads and runway looks from Louis Vuitton and Chanel this time and combined highstreet fashion to recreate the designer looks. Hope you like it!

Ich denke es ist normal Designermode anbetungswürdig zu finden, nur leider kann sich nicht jeder (ich in begriffen) monatlich einen Schrank voll leisten davon leisten.
Darum versuche ich ständig günstigere und ebenso stylische Alternativen zu finden. Diesmal habe ich mir Anzeigen und Laufsteg-Looks von Louis Vuitton und Chanel rausgesucht und preiswertere Varianten zusammengestellt, um die Outfits zu imitieren. Ich hoffe es gefällt euch!

Disney Dears meet Hollywood Hotties

Hello my dears,
I am really so sorry for being absent of the blogger world for such a long time! It is really a shame, I know, but I will definitely post more often these days! Therefore, today I start with a longer post than usual!

Hallo meine Lieben,
es tut mir wirklich sooo unendlich Leid, dass ich mich für eine Weile aus dem Blogger-Alltag verkrümelt habe . . . eine Schande, ich weiß, aber in nächster Zeit werde ich wieder öfter posten. Und heute fange ich auch gleich mit einem extra-langen Post an!

I don´t even know how exactly I came to think about this topic (maybe because of the recent Disney adaptations in Hollywood) but I discovered a really interesting thing in the world of fashion and celebrities: The celebs are copying the Disney stars. Which is great, in my opinion, since I always thought these princess ladies were the most fashionable and sophisticated females in the world *lol* I mean, probably ninety percent of all girls once dreamt of owning one of the sparkling dresses from the Disney movies . . . am I right? Anyways, here is the"twin show":

Es gibt eine noch nicht diskutierte Auffälligkeit in der Welt der Mode und Stars. Ich weiß nicht mal mehr genau wie ich auf das Thema gekommen bin (vielleicht wegen der verschiedenen Disney Adaptionen in Hollywood zurzeit), aber ich war auf jeden Fall sehr überrascht, als ich das Ergebnis meiner Recherche sah: Erstaunlicherweise scheinen viele Berühmtheiten die Disney-Schönheiten zu kopieren. Was meiner Meinung nach sogar ganz toll ist, denn ich war eigentlich schon immer davon überzeugt, dass diese Ladies zu den bestangezogensten und kultiviertesten Frauen der Welt zählen *lol*
Also mal ehrlich, haben nicht mindestens neunzig Prozent aller Mädchen schon einmal davon geträumt eines dieser funkelnden Prinzessinnen-Kleider aus den Disney-Filmen ihr Eigen nennen zu dürfen? Wie auch immer, hier gibt´s jetzt die "Zwillings-Show" zu bewundern:

Love individual designs on my bags

A little while ago I already introduced the great designs from "Inverted Commas" to you. The italian based company was founded in 2011. Since then we can expect fancy tote bags with amazing and colourful illustrations!
Vor einer Weile habe ich euch ja bereits einmal auf die tollen Taschen-Designs von "Inverted Commas" aufmerksam gemacht. Das in Italien ansässige Unternehmen wurde 2011 gegründet und bringt seitdem einzigartige Taschen mit farbenfrohen Illustrationen in die Häuser aller Taschenfans!

And recently I discovered 4 new fabulous designs in the online shop. It is really more than just fashion, you are actually carrying a piece of art around with you!
Und vor Kurzem habe ich entdeckt, dass nun endlich 4 neue, ausgefallene Designs der lässigen Tote Bags im Online-Shop erhältlich sind. Es ist wirklich mehr als nur ein Accessoire, womit ihr euch da schmückt . . . es ist tatsächlich ein wahres Kunststück, was sich über die Schulter tragen lässt!

Personally, I love the "Baby Blue" design! It is my favourite and I´ll definitely order it soon to add a dab of artful extravagance to my outfits :)
Mein liebstes Design ist die Tasche "Baby Blue"! Definitiv mein Favorit und hoffentlich bald in meinem Besitz, so kann ich meinen Outfits einen kleinen Spritzer künstlerische Extravaganz verleihen :)

Is Black Beautiful?

French Connection

I recently found that gorgeous ribbon LBD (Little black dress) from French Connection and suddenly found myself thinking about the need of another colourless piece of fashion in my wardrobe . . . I mean, one always gets advice that the most classic choice is black and that it is suitable for just about every situation. But is that true? What do you think . . . is black the ultimate classic or is it becoming boring and it´s maybe time for a new ageless style miracle?

Ich habe neulich diese atemberaubende "Kleine Schwarze" von French Connection entdeckt und fand mich plötzlich in einer kleinen Fashion-Diskussion mit mir selbst wieder: Es heißt ständig Schwarz sei der ideale Begleiter in einfach jeder Situation, aber ist das tatsächlich so? Wie denkt ihr darüber . . . Schwarz als ultimativer Klassiker oder wird die Farbe so langsam langweilig und altbacken und sollte vielleicht sogar von einem neuen zeitlosen Stylewunder abgelöst werden?

Spring´s around the corner

Usually I prefer to keep the brands in my outfits mixed . . . it brings so much more variety and fun, I think. But recently I found myself clicking a lot through the boohoo online shop and therefore today I wanne share my latest outfit combination with you. And it is all about boohoo and pastel colours which (in my opinion) is the best spring trend ever!

Normalerweise bevorzuge ich es ja Marken zu mixen . . . es bringt einfach Abwechslung und Spaß in ein Outfit. Aber in der letzten Zeit habe ich mich einfach so oft durch den Boohoo Online-Shop geklickt, dass ich nun mein jüngst kreiertes Outfit mit euch teilen möchte. Und es ist natürlich komplett in Boohoo gehalten . . . sowie in Pastelltönen (meiner Meinung nach der tollste Frühlingstrend überhaupt)!

I just wanted to share this magnificent look from this month Elle UK with you. I think Ashley Olsen looks so innocent and fairy-like in this marvellous Dolce&Gabbana jewel dress. Absolutely lovin´ it!

Ich wollte nur mal eben diesen atemberaubenden Look vom aktuellen Elle UK Cover mit euch teilen. Ich finde Ashley Olsen sieht hier einfach so unschuldig bezaubernd und elfenhaft aus in dem wunderschönen mit Edelsteinen verzierten Dolce&Gabbana Kleid. Ich bin absolut verliebt!

Wonderful floating dresses

First I wanne apologize because my last post was uploaded exactly one week ago now (due to a huge pile of work) . . . I am sorry but I will definitely post more frequently from now on!
But now back to the topic :) Today I am in a really girly mood and for this reason I am now showing you a collection of feminin-curves-hugging dresses, all my lovely picks and finds from the last few days. Hope you like them and maybe find some inspiration for your wardrobe!

Zuerst möchte ich mich entschuldigen, denn mein letzter Post ist jetzt genau eine Woche her (was hauptsächlich auf einen riesigen Haufen Arbeit zurückzuführen ist) . . . es tut mir wirklich Leid, aber ich werde mich bemühen nun wieder öfter zu posten!
Aber nun zurück zum Thema :) Heute bin ich in einer sehr mädchenhaften Stimmung und darum zeige ich euch nun eine kleine Auswahl von fraulichen-Kurven-umarmenden Kleidern, alle meine entzückenden Fundstücke der letzten Tage. Monday Blues with Katy Perry

At this year´s Paris Fashion Week Katy Perry surprised us with her all aquamarine look. I somehow loved every bit of that style . . . right down to her bubblegum blue hair!
That´s why I decided to create a portfolio dedicated to lovely blue fashion pieces . And as a freelancer I can perfectly understand the situation of "wanne have it all - but can´t afford it right now" . . . so I tried to choose a hopefully satisfying mixture of designer splurges (to dream of and save for) and not so pricey clothes.

Dieses Jahr überraschte uns Katy Perry zur Fashion Week in Paris mit einem Komplett-Look in blau. Irgendwie fand ich jedes noch so kleinste Teil vom Outfit toll . . . bis hin zu ihrem kaugummiblauen Haaren!
So kam auch mein kleines Mini-Portfolio hier zustande. Alle ausgewählten Stücke haben ein Hauptthema: die Farbe blau.
Und als Freiberufler kann ich mich nur zu gut in die Situation versetzen "Ich will es unbedingt - aber kann es mir gerade nicht leisten", deshalb habe ich versucht eine hoffentlich zufriedenstellende Mischung aus Luxusklamotten (zum von träumen und drauf sparen) und Geldbeutel-schonenden Sachen zu erstellen. Viel Spaß euch damit und macht nicht allzu lang "blau"! :)

Louboutin for everyone!

I discovered these awesome news a few days ago . . . and I wanne share it now with all of you, well in case you haven´t heard about it yet!

So as you can read on the picture already the great Christian Louboutin is currently cooperating with Selfridge in London. Reason for this happy event is the 20th anniversary of the gorgeous shoe designs from Louboutin! From February, 27th to April, 1st there will be a collection of 20 different Louboutin shoes available at the store in London. Each shoe stands for one succesful year of Louboutin. A shame that it isn´t 50 years, yet!? :) Additionally there will be adorable items from Louboutins spring/summer 2012 collection, including handbags, clutches and men shoes. And even the decoration of the store is more than worth a look!

Well, the next visit in the Selfridge store is for sure!!!

Ich habe diese großartigen Neuigkeiten vor ein paar Tagen entdeckt . . . und nun möchte ich sie endlich mit euch allen, besonders natürlich mit den noch Unwissenden, teilen! :)

Wie das Bild ja schon vermuten lässt, geht es um eine Zusammenarbeit des unglaublichen Christian Louboutin mit Selfridge. Anlass für dieses freudige Ereignis ist das 20jährige Jubiläum der wunderbaren Schuh-Designs von Louboutin. Vom 27. Februar bis zum 1. April ist eine Kollektion bestehend aus 20 verschiedenen Schuhmodellen von Louboutin im London Store erhältlich. Jedes Modell steht für eines der 20 erfolgreichen Jahre von Christian Louboutin . . . in dem Fall kann man sagen: Schade, dass es nicht schon das 50. Jubiläumsjahr ist!? :) Zusätzlich wird es auch noch andere entzückende Teile aus der Spring/Summer 2012 Kollektion von Louboutin geben, u.a. Handtaschen, Clutches und Männerschuhe. Und die Shop-Dekoration allein ist auch schon mehr als einen Blick wert!

Nun, der nächste Besuch im Selfridge Store London ist wohl so gut wie sicher!!!

Candy Colours make me feel so sweet!

One thing or trend I noticed a lot on the recent fashion week pictures is "pastel colours". And if you ask me, these soft and innocent shades of pink, blue, yellow, green, etc. all look like candy! Like the designers are having a brilliant feast with candy floss and ice cream! And because everybody needs a little candy I came up with mixture entirely of candy coloured clothes. Hope you enjoy the sweets!

Eine Sache oder einen Trend, den ich relativ häufig auf den Fashion Week Fotos der letzten Zeit bemerkte, waren "Pastell-Farben". Und wenn ihr mich fragt erinnern diese zarten und unschuldigen Nuancen von Pink, Blau, Gelb, Grün, etc. an Süßigkeiten. Also ob die Designer ein Fest mit ganz viel Zuckerwatte und Eiscreme auf den Laufstegen feiern! Und weil jeder ab und an mal etwas Süßes braucht, gibt es von mir einen Mix komplett bestehend aus süßen und pastellig cremigen Fundstücken. Ich hoffe euch schmecken die Süßigkeiten!

Todays Menu: Cropped Fashion

Finally the sun broke through the cloudy sky and the temperatures get a lil´ bit warmer now. Perfect moment to start thinking about spring fashion, I guess :) And one thing that kept catching my eye is cropped shirts and sweaters but for me it somehow meant I have to wait for mild weather! So now I wanne show you my favourite picks and I think the ways to style these pieces are nearly endless!

Endlich hat es die Sonne doch mal geschafft die grauen Wolken beiseite zu drängen und die Temperaturen werden nun langsam etwas wärmer. Der perfekte Zeitpunkt also, um über Frühlings-Styles nachzudenken :) Und eine Sache fiel mir schon seit einer Weile immer wieder ins Auge: "Cropped" (also abgeschnittene, fast bauchfreie Teile) Shirts und Pullover, aber irgendwie fand ich man müsse dafür auf mildere Temperaturen warten! Also jetzt möchte ich euch meine Lieblingsstücke zeigen . . . Ich finde die Möglichkeiten sie zu kombinieren sind beinahe endlos!

Soooo great what I just discovered! Actually I was only looking through some onlineshops because I needed a break from my books. But it turns out that many shops wanne give all of us a nice little present for valentine´s day! :) I picked one of my favourite shops to share the pleasure with you!

A little piece of inspiration

I´ve found the wonderful spring campaign of Basler for which, amongst others, german Topmodel Lena Gercke and Franziska Knuppe show off the beautiful creations. Especially when I look out of the window these days and see snowflakes and glittering ice on the streets I yearn for spring time with its flowers and sweet scented blossoms . . . and it´s very easy to imagine stuff like this while looking at these enchanting flower dresses! In this season, again, we just can´t go wrong with floral designs and these soft falling, flittering and ultra-feminine dresses look as if they´re constantly flirting with a spring breeze! And actually I couldn´t say at once which dress is taking my breath away the most (in a positive way, of course). Do you already picked your favourite?

Ich habe die wunderschöne Frühlings-Kampagne von Basler entdeckt, bei der u.a. Lena Gercke und Franziska Knuppe die traumhaften Kreationen präsentieren. Gerade wenn ich aus dem Fenster schaue und Eiszapfen sehe, möchte ich an Frühling und Blumenwiesen denken . . . und das gelingt ohne Probleme, wenn ich diese tollen Blumenkleider betrachte! Auch in dieser Saison liegen florale Designs wieder voll im Trend und diese locker luftig fallenden Flatterkleidchen sehen aus als ob sie konstant mit einer Frühlingsbrise flirten! Ich könnte mich ehrlich gesagt nicht auf Anhieb entscheiden, welches Kleid mir den Atem am meisten raubt (im positiven Sinne natürlich). Habt ihr schon einen Liebling?

Keeps you warm

When I worked on a warming and comfy outfit for my last post I actually forgot the probably most important thing for this instance . . . a fluffy coat. But I don´t wanne leave an outfit incomplete for long and so I gathered up these cozy exemplars :) Which one is your favourite?

Bei meinem letzten Post habe ich bei der Outfit-Zusammenstellung doch tatsächlich das Wichtigste vergessen . . . schließlich sollte es ja ein wunderschön wärmenden Mix ergeben und ich lasse doch tatsächlich den Mantel weg! Das soll geändert werden und darum habe ich mir mal ein paar knuddelige Modelle ausgesucht :) Was trifft euren Geschmack?

Reminds me of school

Since the weather decided to get totally freezing again I picked some rather practical but comfy clothes today and put together an outfit which really reminded me of school times . . . still I really like the combination :) what´s your opinion and do you have some funny comments about your school time? I love hearing stories about stuff like that!

Da es plötzlich wieder so eisig kalt draußen ist, habe ich heute mal einen eher praktisch kuscheligen Look zusammengestellt . . . und irgendwie musste ich an die gute, alte Schulzeit denken, als ich das fertige Outfit angeschaut hab! Mir gefällt´s trotzdem :) was sagt ihr? Und was habt ihr so für Erinnerungen an oder lustige Kommentare zu eurer Schulzeit? Ich liebe es solche witzigen Sachen zu lesen!

Romantic edge

Hoping that spring arrives faster than it looks like at the moment time I created a soft, romantic mixture of fashion today :) It would have been an all-over Miss Selfridge Look but I couldn´t decide between the blouses!

In der Hoffnung, dass der Frühling schneller eintrifft als es gerade aussieht, habe ich heute mal an einem luftig zarten Outfit gebastelt. Es wäre ein kompletter Miss Selfridge Look geworden, aber ich konnte mich bei den Blusen nicht entscheiden :)

Sale, Sale everywhere!

Right, again I didn´t make it yesterday evening. But now I finally wanne show you my shopping "trophys". And regarding the fact that every piece of jewellery only cost 1 € I think this is a moment to applaude :D For the other stuff I had to invest a lil bit more but in the end I can hardly complain about a sweater for 5 €, shoes for 7 € and a belt for 2 € either! You can see my bargain instinct was highly stimulated *lol* I LOVE "SALE"! :)

Tjaja, gestern Abend hab ich´s dann doch nicht mehr geschafft zu posten, aber jetzt würde ich euch gern meine Errungenschaften der letzten Tage zeigen. Und man beachte, dass jedes dieser Schmuckstücke tatsächlich nur einen einzigen Euro gekostet hat, ich liebe "Sale"! Für den Rest musste ich dann doch ein bisschen mehr hinblättern, aber das ließ sich ebenso super verkraften: der Pulli hat nur 5 €, die Schuhe 7 € und der Gürtel 2 € gekostet! Man sieht also, mein Schnäppchen- Wille war geweckt :)
